The Magic of Arthe
Almost every denizen of Arthe has possesses some of the seven colors of magic. There are three categories for those magic gifted people; Mages, who possess one color of magic, Magicians, who can possess two to six colors, and the Wizards who wield all three.
Red: The magic
of Strength. It manifests as enhanced strength, endurance, stamina, and
speed of the user, and can be used to create blasts or even weapons made
of energy.
Its Aspect is the Mountains.
Orange: Magic of Protection. This color creates shields, barriers, and magical armor.
Its Aspect is the Beasts.
Yellow: The
magic of Healing. Yellow magic can treat infections, dull or numb pain,
regenerate blood and skin, and with great skill mend bone.
Its Aspect is the Trees.
Green: Magic
of the Mind. This color allows the user to read of emotions and thoughts
of others, see and sense the magic around them, and rarely, influence
the vision of others.
Its Aspect is the Speakers.
Blue: The
magic of Weather. Its users can control and summon great winds, the flow
of water, the freezing cold, the kindling of flames, and direct the path
of lightning.
Its Aspect is the Clouds.
Violet: Magic
of Movement. Violet magic is comparable to telekinesis, allowing the
user to move objects of great size and abundance, change the momentum
and speed of things, or redirect other magic.
Its Aspect is the Insects.
Grey:
Lawless Magic. Perhaps due to its otherworldly origin, this magic is
unconstrained by rules, granting it the ability to mimic the other
colors and accomplish feats impossible to them. Feats like
transformation, teleportation, animation, forging spells for later use,
and so much more.
It doesn't seem to have an Aspect.
The Races of
Arthe
Unicorns are a light haired and eyed race. They have fur covering the
lower half of their bodies, a tail, and cloven hooves. Their head sports
small horns (often referred to as buttons) and ears resembling a deer's.
Unicorns hail originally from
Kirin.
Troll
Trolls are a tall, stocky
race, sporting long rounded ears and bulls horns budding from their
heads, along with a furry tail. Their home country is
Jotuun.
Goblin
Goblins are short and
hirsute, with pointed and furry ears, a small fluffy tail, and feet
resembling an animal's paws. Their home country is the
Alps.
Faerie
Faeries are the smallest of
the races, with colorful and pastel skin tones. They have large ears and
antennae on their head and a long tail, their most prominent feature
being their insect wings. Their home land is the forest country of
Seelie.
Dragon
Dragons are sharp, having
earthy skin tones of greens, oranges and yellows, and blues. Dragons
bear sharp claws and a smooth tail. Their heads are often decked with
pointed and curved horns on their foreheads, along their jawlines and on
their pointed ears. These horns are referred to as a dragon's crown.
Dragons hail from the country of
Wyrm.
Harpy
Harpies are a birdlike race,
covered in feathers with winged arms and tail, and their faces
resembling a beak. Harpies home is in the Ouzelum
Islands.
Upyr
Upyrs most resemble humans,
mirroring the ten fingers and toes of humans, with dark hair and eyes.
That resemblance stops at their sharp, vampire like teeth and the
antlers sprouting from their heads. The upyrs find home in the country
of Baobhan Sith.
